Getting darker

After a whole spring dedicated to enjoy the sunrise occuring more and more early, and the sunset more and more late; it is now time to during the rest of the summer and the autumn, enjoy the contrast. We will gradually get less and less time per day to enjoy sunlight. But is this good or bad? I would say both...

Most people like either summer or winter the most, or prehaps both of them. The quantity who likes spring and autumn however is much smaller. How come?

Autumn. Rain, yellow leaves, rain. The spring is merely a conversion between summer and winter. The trees drops their leaves, leaving nothing but their beautiful naked bodies. Wherever you go you will always see the leaves that used to dress the trees. Former beautiful leaves, that now only contributes by emitting a rotten smell. The sunlight given to us dissappears more and more. The air temperature becomes colder and colder. Everything to prepare us for the winter. The winter when the rain no longer is rain, but beautiful white flakes callled snow.

During the winter, the air is cold and fresh. You wear much clothes to protect you from the chill outside, and gets the oppertunity to enjoy the wonderful form of water called snow. With snow you can do so much. Not only that it is beatiful, it reduces the friction compared with many other materials in nature. This allows you do many joyful things, for example skiing or snowboarding. Could it be better.

The following spring however is a period of change. You will enjoy more and more sun, and that is without doubt positive. But you will also experience rain, sleet and so on... Nothing is really perfect with spring, partially you can enjoy it, partially you can dislike it. Nothing like with the winter.

After a quite long period of change it is time for a period of happiness. A period of sun, and rain. A period of heat and water. A period of joyful events. Summer gives you the most out of everything. You can even go skiing in the hottest places, though on water or prehaps sand dunes. You can swim in the great oceans. Lie in the water for several hours, just to be able to enjoy a nice lunch at the beach. Go listening to music at one of the many conserts of festivals that takes place during summer. Or just sitt down, thinking about whatever you want.

Summer is the time to enjoy life. Summer is now - go enjoy yourselves!

Well, that is of course a possibility, but I must say that I today (without any deep knowledge of American or Californian life) prefer the life here in Sweden. Actually, many of my interests can be exercised indoors, which makes the autumn and spring nice and sweet anyways. Another reason I like the Swedish climate is that it almost never gets too hot, and the Swedish weather is also very suitable for studying, as a too hot or sunny weather would give you more choises, more thing to do, and less time for studies. Of course this would be cool, but I have to be that boring since studying tragically is required to be able to work in most cases.
