Two weeks has passed
As said, more than one week has passed since this blogg was created. More than two weeks has passed since I, together with my friends, stepped out from Masthuggskyrkan to take our first deep breaths of summer. Two weeks.
I do not know if the time in my mind has a faster or slower flow than the time our clocks is showing us. All I know is that I at summer never think of time as time. Two weeks is what my computer's calendar tells me. I would say some rest and lots of fun is what has passed, not hours, days or weeks. Peaceful rest and joyful happiness. Time is something connected to stress and deadlines. Time is everything but peace and rest.
As a matter of fact, research has shown us that to totally be able to enjoy free time, as the summer vacation, we have to get rid of our schedules, calendars and watches. Yes, even our cellular phones is said to bring us nothing but unneccesary stress. I think they may be right, but they're missing one thing...
During summer you get the time to have fun with your friends, lie in the sun, swim, play - whatever you want. But to be able to meet your friends, a way to communicate is often needed. Thus the cellular phones could be needed. Another option is to instead of calling all your friends, plan what you are going to do on beforehand. You are thus given the oppertunity to leave your phone and instead follow your plans. There is however something that makes this not good either. No schedules!
So, to follow the advise you either have to be alone all summer, or have friends that live nextdoors. But what fun is it to only have one friend to spend your time with during summer. Not too fun...
The best advice I can give to you is therefore to try not to follow a exact daily procedure, but to take everything as it comes. Planning some events is neccecary, but not to be overdriven. Calling and chatting is also neccesary, as well as everything that open new doors of summer joy. Peace...
